Important Instructions for Applicants:
1. Candidates employed in any government, semi-government department/organization, and autonomous bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned department/organization within 30 days after seat selection.
2. A copy of the application submitted to the employer for NOC or acknowledgment thereof must be produced at the time of admission, failing which the admission will be deemed as canceled.
3. Stay updated by visiting the University's official website for important information about the admission process. Any other relevant information/announcement will be made through the University's official web portal.
4. All schedules/announcements shall be communicated to applicants only through the notice board and the university website.
5. The Graduate Studies Committee ensures the implementation of the M/MPhil/PhD Regulations and evaluates the original documents and eligibility of applications received for admissions.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
For MPhil Programs:
👉 Sixteen years of schooling or 4-year education (130-136 credit hours) after Higher Secondary School Certificate/FA/F.Sc/Grade 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (annual system) or a CGPA of 2.5 (out of 4) from an HEC recognized university.
👉 Test conducted by the NTS, PTS, ETEA, or any other testing agency of national repute as approved by the University with a minimum 50% cumulative score.
For PhD Programs:
👉 MS/MPhil (18 years of education) or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4 in the semester system) or First Division (in the Annual System) in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university.
👉 Test conducted by the NTS, PTS, ETEA, or any other testing agency as approved by the University in the area of specialization chosen at the PhD level must be cleared prior to admission in the PhD program with a minimum of 60% cumulative score.
👉 MPhil or equivalent degree with the research thesis only is mandatory for admission to PhD.

How to Apply:
The applicants shall apply online through the "Online Application System" available at the UOM website (http://www.uom.edu.pk). All applicants are required to download the system-generated deposit fee challan and deposit the same at any nearest branch of National Bank of Pakistan or Allied Bank. The challan/receipt should be attached with one application along with other scanned documents; otherwise, the application will not be entertained.
